Sketch Comedy and Personal Projects

Since 2018 I’ve had the privilege of collaborating in a ton of sketches for the LikeAFox Studios YouTube channel. I cannot claim ownership of the channel. but I’ve had the opportunity to act in, write, and direct various sketches over the years, and it’s been some of the most fun i’ve ever had both in front of and behind the camera.

This is definitely the piece I’m most proud to have worked on. I wrote the script for this and Michael (the owner of the channel) and I revised it together and put it into motion. It was a much longer video than we were used to filming so it presented a lot of challenges along the way but I think it turned out beautifully.

This was a fun little project I did in a day. I was sick home from work and decided to just make a vibey little video about it. It’s nothing spectacular, but it was a fun exercise in seeing what I could do by myself, with just a camera, in just one day.

This was a very improv-heavy sketch that we just made around the house over COVID. Overall, I think it holds up as just one of those funny videos where the chaos of it all is really what drives it.

This is an older sketch that I think had some really great writing. The setup and execution of everything had a lot of moving parts but I think it does a great job in emulating that classic “movie drama” atmosphere while still delivereing on a nice punchline.

This video was 95% an excuse to visit some friends in LA, and 5% the desire to make a joke where people would watch it and have to take a second and think, “Wait did they go across the country just for that?” And that brings me joy.

It’s a little dated but I made this video to apply for an internship a while ago before I had enough projects to actually make a reel. It makes me smile, and I hope it makes you smile too.
